Chasing Joy with Leah

Hi, I’m Leah.

I’m a corporate executive, wife, mom, creator, and chronic “I can handle it” person.

I have a computer science degree and have spent more than a decade building a career in technology and consulting. Along the way, I got really good at being capable—managing a lot, solving problems, staying productive, and figuring things out.

And for a long time, I thought that was the goal.

But here’s what I’ve learned:

Just because I CAN do something doesn’t mean it deserves my time or energy.

I still love ambition. I love big goals, a meaningful career, projects, plans, and building things I’m proud of. Chasing Joy isn’t about giving any of that up.

It’s about asking a better question:

What is all that success actually for if I don’t have the time or energy to enjoy the life I’m building?

I’m not here because I’ve figured out perfect balance. I’m here because I’ve stopped believing perfect balance is the goal.

I’m learning to be much more intentional about where my ambition, time, and energy go—and Chasing Joy is where I share what that looks like in real life.

The Real Story

I used to wear busy like a badge of honor.

I noticed how easy it is for capable women to build entire lives around should.

Things good moms should do. Things successful women should do. Things healthy people should do. Things organized people should do. And, of course, the thing we watched someone do on Instagram yesterday and suddenly decided we should probably be doing too.

Eventually, everything becomes important.

And when everything is a priority, nothing really is.

Chasing Joy exists to interrupt that cycle.

The Shift

“Being capable of doing everything doesn’t mean everything deserves your energy.”

This idea changed the way I think about almost everything. Instead of asking how much I could handle, I started asking what actually deserved a place in my life.

It’s the question at the heart of what Chasing Joy has become.

Who This Is For

You’re a high-achiever who’s tired of achieving at the expense of actually living.

You want to stop just surviving your schedule and start building a life that feels like yours.

  • If your calendar is full but the things you care about keep getting pushed to “later” — this is for you.
  • If you’re the one everyone relies on, and you’re running on fumes — this is for you.
  • If “good enough” feels like giving up, but you’re too tired to keep chasing perfect — this is for you.
  • If you’re ready to trade doing it all for doing what matters — welcome.

What We Do Here

Four things, done on purpose.

01

Know What Matters

Get clear on what actually deserves your energy — before your calendar decides for you.

02

Choose Accordingly

Let what matters influence your calendar, routines, boundaries, money and everyday decisions.

03

Let Things Be Good Enough

Not everything deserves your best. Some things just need to get done.

04

Chase the Joy

Use the space you’ve protected to actually experience the people, moments and things that make your life feel like yours.

This is the part we’re making room for.

The Chasing Joy Collective

Want to do this with us?

The Chasing Joy Collective is where we put all of this into practice—deciding what matters, making choices that reflect it, and supporting each other when real life inevitably tries to blow up the plan.

You deserve a life that feels like yours. Let’s build it.
